Walk in the footsteps of Martin Andersen Nexø on the 6.6-kilometre-long poet's route, which takes you past some of Nexø's most beautiful places. Explore the history of Bornholm at the Bornholm Railways Museum, where you can see old locomotives and hear about their role during the Russian occupation. Eat locally produced ice cream from Chris & Mario on the square in Nexø. Or go to a flea market on the harbour, right in front of your apartment. You must also not forget to taste a smoked herring from the old smokehouse in Nexø. One of Bornholm's best sandy beaches, Balka Beach, is only 3.3 kilometers from the apartment. Here you can enjoy the sunny days and try surfing or paddleboarding.
